Kinoma
Kinoma is the open-source software platform by Marvell for building applications for devices. Its unique programming model connects app developers to high performance hardware to deliver fast, simple user experiences.

Kinoma Play

Kinoma Play is our take on the smartphone. It combines a suite of apps, an innovative dashboard, integrated media features, and an app launcher.

Kinoma Play Script

KPS is Kinoma’s app programming language. KPS source code is an XML document with embedded scripts. The KPS scripting language is ECMAScript 5th Edition, the same scripting language known as JavaScript 5th edition in HTML 5. KPS code is easy to read and write, and surprisingly concise.

Marvell

Marvell is a leading fabless semiconductor company, shipping over one billion chips each year. Our chips are used in storage, mobile, networking, WiFi, consumer electronics, and green energy products.

Why is Marvell offering Kinoma?

Marvell recognizes the make-or-break role software plays in getting the full performance from silicon. Marvell wants help OEMs and developers more easily tap into the full power of our hardware.

Does Kinoma run on non-Marvell hardware?

Absolutely. Today we are demonstrating Kinoma running on silicon from several different vendors.

Marvell understands that app creators don’t want their work tied to a single vendor’s silicon, a single manufacturer’s products, or a single operating system. Our technology and our licensing model are designed to give creators that flexibility.
